Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on substation equipment up to 500kV, including circuit breakers, transformers, and switchgear.
- Maintain MV collection systems (15kV–35kV) and execute switching procedures in coordination with operators.
- Support diagnostic activities like transformer oil sampling, cable fault locating, and insulation testing.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of HV/MV field experience, with strong knowledge of substation maintenance and safety standards.
- Ability to read one-lines and schematics, and experience with switching procedures.
- Preferred certifications include Journeyman or Master Electrician license and NETA certification.
Work Environment:
- Field-based role with travel to customer sites nationwide, including outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Exposure to high-voltage equipment and electrical hazards, requiring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborative team environment with potential for irregular schedules and on-call availability.
