Communications Specialist

The Communications Specialist will support day-to-day social media management across platforms for both Shimmick and Axia Electric, including content planning, copywriting, scheduling, and basic graphic design, with a focus on audience growth and engagement. The specialist will assist in brand development initiatives, rollout of new brands and the evolution of existing ones, ensuring consistency across internal and external channels. They will also maintain and update corporate websites to reflect current initiatives, project milestones, employee features, and company news; create and manage calendars for internal and external communications, coordinating closely with Safety, HR, IT, and Payroll to ensure timely, clear, and consistent messaging; and contribute to the development of company-wide communications such as newsletters, intranet updates, and all-employee emails, ensuring tone and content reflect company values and priorities. Additionally, this role will design and produce marketing collateral for key initiatives and campaigns and maintain and organize proposal resume libraries and develop professional bios for employees to support business development and pursuit efforts.
