Manager, Coal Mine Methane

Policy Analysis:

• Collaborate to develop CMM Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) protocols and coal sector policies.
• Identify opportunities and methodologies to answer policy-relevant, CMM-related questions through research and analysis based on stakeholder needs.
• Draft and present regulatory comments to stakeholders as part of the policy assessment process.

Advocacy and Capacity Strengthening:

• Manage and execute capacity building activities such as webinars, trainings, roundtables and workshops on CMM for relevant stakeholders.
• Communicate CMM science and technology developments to key decisionmakers, including via blog posts and technical reports.
• Synthesize technical documents into presentations, briefs, and talking points.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Build strong partnerships with governments in key countries to support CMM mitigation policies and MRV systems.
• Collaborate with other international coalitions and civil society organizations to support CMM mitigation efforts.
• Represent CATF in public forums.
