Data Governance Analyst

As a Data Governance Analyst at Wiz, you will play a critical role in building, maintaining, and evolving the company’s data governance framework to support security, compliance, and business intelligence initiatives. To succeed in this role, you should bring a combination of technical, regulatory, and collaborative skills with a strong understanding of data governance in the context of a high-growth cybersecurity SaaS company. Develop and maintain data governance policies, standards, and processes to ensure consistent data quality, privacy, and protection across the organization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams —including Security, Engineering, Product, Legal, and Security Trust—to define data ownership, steward responsibilities, and data lifecycle rules. Support data classification and cataloging efforts using tools like data discovery platforms and metadata management solutions. Ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.) by aligning internal data handling practices with relevant data protection requirements. Help implement and manage data governance tools and maintain documentation for data lineage, dictionaries, and glossaries. Monitor and report on data quality and compliance metrics , surfacing insights to stakeholders and recommending remediation steps. Participate in audits and risk assessments , providing evidence and insights into data governance practices and controls. Champion data literacy initiatives , educating teams about data policies, best practices, and responsible data use across the organization.
