Job Description
This position supports state, local, tribal and territorial governments and non-governmental partners to design and implement plans, policies, and programs that promote local pre-disaster mitigation action and support long-term housing, economic and infrastructure recovery post-disaster. The role involves multifaceted responsibilities related to project technical delivery, including FEMA 406 and HMGP project scoping, and FEMA mitigation grant applications and administration.
Key responsibilities include leading small teams to conduct policy research and data analysis, scoping and managing grants, developing hazard mitigation and long-term recovery strategies, and drafting written products and tools. The analyst will also develop agendas and deliver presentations, support project managers, and assist with business development activities.
