Senior Data Scientist, Agentic AI Systems

Position Summary:

• Drive development of conversational AI for rare disease research at NIH.
• Own major components from design through deployment as an individual contributor.

Core Responsibilities:

• Build agentic AI workflows with multi-turn conversation and structured data capture.
• Log and validate every automated decision for traceability and review.
• Evaluate systems using golden sets and regression suites to decide improvements.

Technical Requirements:

• Proficiency in Python with FastAPI, Pydantic, and pytest.
• Experience shipping LLM-powered applications and using structured output.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, async Python, and Kubernetes.
