About the Team and Role:
- The Data Team is highly empowered, influencing product and company strategy directly.
- Quora's commitment to data is visible in sophisticated experimentation and leadership backgrounds.
- You'll work closely with product managers, designers, engineers on measurements, experiments, and visualizations.
Responsibilities:
- Own impactful problem spaces across product and business domains.
- Design and evaluate experiments to measure impact of changes.
- Analyze data to uncover root causes and inform product decisions.
Minimum Requirements:
- 2+ years in analytical role, including 1+ as Data Scientist.
- Proficiency in statistical techniques and their practical application.
- Experience with Python or R for data manipulation and modeling.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience evaluating experiments or recommender systems.
- Experience with large data sets and distributed computing tools (e.g. Presto).
- Active Quora user with curiosity about the product.
