Medical Director Therapy

Opportunity Overview:

• We are seeking physicians with expertise in PM&R, Family Practice, Pediatrics, or Internal Medicine to deliver on Cohere’s program by determining medical appropriateness of services.
• Reporting to the Managing Medical Director, this role is critical in a rapidly scaling company impacting millions of patients.

What You'll Do:

• Support the clinical content team in reviewing clinical decision guidelines and evidence-based literature.
• Provide timely medical reviews meeting stringent quality and timeliness parameters.
• Conduct peer-to-peer discussions with treating providers to explain review outcomes.

What You'll Need:

• Completed US-based residency in relevant specialties and board certification with current state license.
• 5+ years of clinical practice beyond residency and understanding of therapy programs.
• 1+ years of managed care utilization review experience in therapy is highly desirable.
