Key Responsibilities:

  • Quickly assess and troubleshoot HVAC issues, collaborating with engineers on design resolutions and project managing repairs to completion.
  • Interpret lease obligations, prepare default notices with legal teams, and procure contractors for maintenance, tracking costs and task completion.
  • Use building management systems for remote diagnostics, perform quality control tours, and communicate regularly with leadership on project status.

Facilities and Project Oversight:

  • Manage long-term capital asset plans and equipment replacements, ensuring no effective HVAC downtime during hospital operations.
  • Approve and track all facility repair and capital project expenditures, managing to an annual allocated budget for expense tracking.
  • Review and redline new construction specifications, working with mechanical engineers to improve designs based on regional needs and common complaints.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Requires 5+ years of technical HVAC experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Facilities/Construction or extensive HVAC technician/operating engineer background.
  • Must have problem-solving skills in electrical, plumbing, and general construction, plus the ability to read and interpret construction blueprints.
  • HVAC/Refrigeration certification and previous administrative experience are preferred for this role.
