Senior Mechanical Engineer

A Sr Engineer is responsible for mechanical discipline development and ensuring internal colleague and external client satisfaction with the discipline team(s) through performing a wide variety of technical assignments so discipline team(s) deliver high quality, profitable projects. This position will typically report to the Practice Area Leader. The candidate will proactively mentor and coach junior staff, lead projects and programs from concept through completion and take responsibility for the discipline work quality, productivity, and actions. The candidate will also develop and maintain technical design standards, oversee the quality review process, and attend meetings as needed. Consistently maintain advanced knowledge and proficiency in engineering design, AEC industry codes and standards through attending internal/external trainings. They will also research local, state, and federal regulations and adapt engineering information, codes, and standards into project designs and communicate to team(s). Supervising two or more direct reports is a key responsibility of this job.
