Data Analyst III

This position, under minimal direction, assists the Clinical Data section of the Health Information Management (HIM) Department to ensure timely and accurate completion of coding and medical record documentation in order to meet the organization’s unbilled and regulatory compliance goals; ensures the data integrity of the electronic medical record and indices; assists with ensuring effective and efficient HIM workflows relative to the maintenance and accuracy of health information. Communicates with all stakeholders to ensure coding queries and missing medical record documentation are completed in a timely manner to facilitate the coding and billing processes. Performs data entry and/or validation activities in various coding, billing and documentation systems to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of established workflows. Ensures data integrity of the electronic medical record by facilitating the correction of documentation and/or indexing errors. Collects, analyzes, validates, and displays statistical data in appropriate formats for reporting purposes. Ensures data integrity of the enterprise-wide master patient index by monitoring, analyzing, investigating, and facilitating corrections of information maintained in the database. Completes other duties as assigned or suggested by the Manager, Director, or Assistant Directors.
