Job Description

The Quality Assurance Engineer II works on a team focused on Ignition-adjacent microservices projects. Under the guidance of a Quality Assurance Group Manager, they are responsible for developing, maintaining and executing automated and manual tests, and for reporting on the progress and status of test activities. This includes validating and verifying new and improved features with a variety of testing tools and approaches, including both automated and manual execution against both the back-end (API) and front-end (Web), as well as validating database schemas and changes. Additionally, the Quality Assurance Engineer II is directly involved in building and testing production versions of the system. Responsibilities include validating bugs and features, building and maintaining automated test frameworks, performing PR reviews, assisting with monitoring automation reports, participating in testing contributions within the development lifecycle, collaborating with the development team, designing and executing test plans, maintaining a proficient understanding of the company's software (Ignition), identifying and tracking defects, and staying up to date with industry trends.
