Medical Illustrator

The Medical Illustrator is responsible for producing medical illustrations and animations for standalone use or in support of larger print, video, and interactive web works. This is a fulltime remote position. With direction from experienced physicians and in collaboration with the team, translate medical illustration and animation requirements, including scope, to final deliverable items for project plans. Follow iterative design processes and project plans, create and revise medical illustrations and animations using qualified digital tools. Inside and outside formal planning processes, recommend creative approaches to designing materials for internal and external use. Develop and maintain a library of medical illustrations and animations for the purpose of archiving, auditing, and reuse. Appropriately manage design projects with competing priorities and deadlines. Contribute to the oversight of art and tool budgets in conjunction with other team members. Contribute to the maintenance and content of PSI style guides. Conduct ongoing research and report on emerging medical illustration trends, issues, and best practices to contribute to team innovation and expertise as well as inform revisions of iterative design processes. Occasionally apply design skills to non-medical design projects
