Senior Scientific Application Programmer - Warn-on-Forecast System Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, integrate, test, and optimize scientific software for operational transition of WoFSv1.
• Design and maintain workflows for model preprocessing, data assimilation, forecasting, and visualization.
• Support development, integration, and testing of MPAS-JEDI-based WoFSv2 system.

Qualifications:

• M.S. or higher in Atmospheric Science, Meteorology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Strong proficiency in Fortran and Python, with experience in cloud HPC environments.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
