Job Description
The Senior Software Engineer - Data Engineering improves our data pipelines, builds monitoring and reliability solutions, and ensures good data governance. You will play a crucial role within the Data Engineering team by leading a revamp of our analytical foundations, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities include leading the design, development, and refactoring of critical data pipelines, implementing comprehensive monitoring and alerting, resolving data pipeline issues, and contributing to data governance standards. You will also participate in the redesign of core subject areas within our analytical data model, establish dashboard curation standards, and develop structured data extractors for various application use cases.
Qualifications include 5+ years of experience in data engineering, proficiency in Python and SQL, experience with data pipelining tools like Spark/PySpark and dbt, familiarity with BI tools (Looker and LookML), and proficiency in version control (Github) and CI/CD tools (CircleCI).
