Associate Software Engineer

Sure is hiring Associate Software Engineers looking to kick-start, restart, or continue their early career in software. You will work closely with a variety of skilled software engineers, designers, and product experts to add features, improve scalability, maintain existing systems, and build out future products within the Sure tech ecosystem. This role is backend-focused, with Python/Django at the core, building APIs and event-driven systems that support documents, communications, rating, and billing. You’ll work on meaningful projects with guidance from senior engineers and mentorship to help you grow into an increasingly independent contributor. Responsibilities include building and maintaining Python-based web applications and APIs, working with relational data and ORMs, collaborating in technical discussions and design reviews, and participating in pull request reviews. Support teammates through pair programming and async collaboration and troubleshoot issues to contribute to improving reliability and performance.
