Graphics Data Reporter

The Athletic is seeking a Graphics Data Reporter to join its Data and Visuals team. In this role, you'll produce work in a range of forms, from written stories to charts to other visual forms, and contribute to interactive development. Responsibilities include conceiving of creative story ideas, collaborating with colleagues, conducting data analysis, and adhering to editorial standards. The ideal candidate will have experience publishing explanatory journalism, using data and visuals effectively, and working in a news organization. Proficiency in Excel, R, Python, Adobe Illustrator, Figma, or similar tools for data analysis and visualization is preferred.
