Senior Software Engineer (React Native)

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll lead the development of our React Native apps for iOS and Android. You’ll collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver reliable, fast, and engaging mobile experiences. Beyond writing code, you’ll help define best practices, mentor engineers, and contribute to technical decisions that support SAN’s mission of rebuilding trust in news. You’ll build new experiences that delight customers. Improve the codebase by finding opportunities for performance optimization. Guide the development team through collaboration, peer reviews, and mentoring. Partner with product, design, and QA teams to create solutions to complex problems. Optimize performance, accessibility, and reliability. Work with web teams to ensure a consistent experience across devices. Contribute to architecture and long-term technical strategy.
