Data Analyst

The Role:

• Own fraud-related segments within the PuzzlePlay user segmentation system, interpreting signals to distinguish suspicious activity from legitimate users.
• Review fraud signals regularly, adding, removing and refining elements like IP spoofing, VPN use, and unusual play patterns.

Collaboration:

• Work with product and data colleagues to keep the system effective as fraud patterns evolve.
• Help the product team decide which verification methods, such as FaceTec facial verification, ID scanning, or phone verification, make sense in each market.

Investigation and Improvement:

• Investigate users flagged for manual review, including ambiguous cases in the Tremendous queue, and find ways to improve the review process.
• Identify gaps in available signals and recommend third-party tools for the product roadmap.

What We're Looking For:

• Hands-on experience using data to investigate fraud and shape detection or prevention decisions.
• Experience designing or improving fraud signals, user segments, or review processes.
• The ability to turn analysis into operational fraud controls with product and other teams.
