Job Description

Under the supervision and guidance of the Sr. Community Development Specialist II, the 3374 Volunteer/Outreach Coordinator leads and manages the department’s city-wide volunteer & public affairs programs—including parks, trails, recreation, special events, and environmental education—by setting strategic goals and priorities to ensure programs effectively support the department’s mission and needs. This role collaborates with internal staff and community-based organizations to identify needs and opportunities for volunteer & public affairs engagement and ensure programs successfully meet departmental objectives. They also manage the budget for materials and supplies, recruit, train, and support public affairs, volunteers, interns, and staff. They build and maintain strong partnerships with various organizations, develop and implement outreach strategies, and coordinate volunteer & public affairs events through Salesforce.
