Design end-to-end product work for the core web application, Pyxis, making foundation models accessible to scientists.
Invent interaction patterns for AI-native tools in biology, spanning emerging surfaces like MCP connectors.

Qualifications:

Showcase a portfolio demonstrating ownership of complex product surfaces and systems thinking with reusable patterns.
Possess genuine craftsmanship, self-direction, and experience designing data-dense interfaces like tables and dashboards.
Exhibit curiosity about scientific domains and comfort pairing with engineers through implementation and rapid iteration.

Compensation and Work Environment:

Engage in a part-time contract role at roughly 20 hours per week for an initial 3 months, with potential for extension or conversion.
Operate within a flexible hybrid model, accommodating fully remote work or in-person collaboration from the Somerville office.
