About the Role:

  • The Senior iOS Engineer owns Epic's native iOS app, the primary way readers open books on iPhone and iPad.
  • You work independently on a large Swift and Objective-C codebase, owning the reading experience end-to-end.
  • This role is based in India, working closely with the US engineering team and the wider global team.

What You'll Do:

  • Own and evolve the iOS app, including offline reading, in-app purchases, and the App Store release pipeline.
  • Drive performance, stability, and quality across the app.
  • Partner with Android, backend, and web teams on shared features and grow into cross-platform mobile over time.

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years building and shipping native iOS apps to the App Store with strong Swift and UIKit skills.
  • Proven depth in custom UI/text rendering and/or real-time media-audio synchronization.
  • Solid understanding of the iOS app lifecycle, concurrency, persistence, and release pipeline.
