The Coder II is responsible for abstracting and assigning valid CPT, ICD-9/10, and HCPCS codes to ensure appropriate reimbursement. This role identifies compliance concerns, trends, and educational opportunities to ensure proper coding, documentation, and accuracy of billing within their specialty, and is able to work independently.
