Work with Marqeta’s sales, partnership and procurement teams to support the sale and development of Marqeta’s products and services with a focus on Marqeta’s customers and partners in Europe. You will serve as the primary legal expert on data privacy and security issues.

Seeking a seasoned builder and privacy co-pilot to join our rapidly growing Legal org and operationalize our privacy obligations for our global company. You will own customer/vendor DPA and Security Addendum negotiations end to end and run day-to-day privacy tasks. You will also track and translate evolving frameworks into crisp guidance, templates, and playbooks that help the business move faster.

This key hire will fulfill a dual capacity position: (i) as the statutory Data Protection Officer (DPO) ensuring legal compliance and independence per GDPR and related laws, and (ii) as the Lead Privacy Counsel serving as the legal subject matter expert for privacy advice and governance within the Legal team. You will advise the organization on Company obligations under GDPR and maintain a record of processing operations.

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious attorney with 6+ years of proven technology law experience to join our dynamic legal team, supporting our privacy and AI efforts. The successful candidate will be located in the US (on a flexible or remote basis), reporting to the Global Head of Privacy and the Director, AI Legal. This position will play a key role in ServiceNow’s expanding Legal team and to work on challenging global data and technology issues in an exciting, fast-paced environment.
