As an intern with Open Hand Studio at CannonDesign, you’ll dive into the heart of a mission-driven design studio focused on social impact, where you'll explore purpose, practices, and 2025 goals, then take the lead in shaping what’s next. You’ll have the opportunity to pitch bold, actionable ideas to enhance our work and bring at least 2–3 of them to life during your internship, leaving a real mark on projects that matter.

This role is evaluating GiveDirectly’s most ambitious program to date, a multi-year research initiative in Malawi, evaluating the impacts of large, one-time cash transfers to individuals in extreme poverty, centered on the largest randomized controlled trial (RCT) ever conducted on unconditional cash transfers, complemented by ongoing monitoring and evaluation (M&E), qualitative research, and rapid pulse data collection.

The contractor will support monitoring of economic, political, and regulatory developments in the Middle East and North Africa region. This is a research contractor role, requiring 1–2 years of work experience. The contractor will have exposure to engagement with C-suite level executives, giving them a look into the decision-making processes of the world’s largest businesses.

As a Social Media Evaluator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the quality and credibility of information online.
