The Senior Program Officer will work with clients in the Food and Agriculture sector to unlock billions of dollars to finance emission reduction and removals projects. In this role, you will provide technical advice on GHG emissions accounting and decarbonization strategies in agricultural supply chains. You will work collaboratively with clients to identify decarbonization opportunities.

This fellowship offers valuable experience in forest carbon project evaluation, supporting efforts to conserve and restore forestlands. The fellow will perform project reviews, maintain records, and provide technical support to stakeholders. The position requires strong technical and analytical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.

This position provides support to the ACR Forestry Director and Managing Director as well as other colleagues within the ACR team. The person in this role will contribute to most aspects of ACR services, including performing routine and increasingly complex project reviews accurately and independently, developing and maintaining systems for project record keeping, and attending site visits and performing audits. They will ensure that projects move through the Registry process efficiently and with appropriate attention to detail.

Work closely with the Winrock team and external stakeholders to address technical advisory requests, assess project feasibility, review technical documentation, and provide guidance on compliance with sustainability frameworks. Ensure the technical rigor and credibility of GHG mitigation projects by providing technical advisory, conducting in-depth validations, managing stakeholder communications, and supporting alignment with key industry standards.
