About P-Zero Research:
- We are a public benefit corporation working to improve the long term trajectory of artificial intelligence.
- Our work involves forecasting and mitigating risks of automated AI R&D, including measuring research taste of frontier models.
The Role:
- You will own a research agenda end to end, developing models of AI takeoff and estimating key parameters with unique data.
- You will find the assumptions that move forecasts most and pin them down with large-scale experiments and data from frontier labs.
In This Role You Will:
- Build and refine models of AI takeoff and test which parameters drive forecasts.
- Work with engineers to execute experiments at scale on frontier models and design proposals for safely pacing automated AI R&D.
We're Looking For:
- A strong track record in empirical research, such as a PhD in economics or equivalent experience.
- Experience with structural estimation, causal inference, economics of innovation, and experimental design, plus alignment with our mission.
