Description of Role:
- Lead the medicinal chemistry component of a multi-disciplinary team within a CNS GPCR drug discovery program.
- Guide a virtual, geographically distributed organization through hit-to-lead to IND-ready candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage internal chemistry resources and CRO synthetic teams, setting priorities and resolving synthetic challenges.
- Serve as chemistry leader, building strong working relationships across teams and partners.
- Use SAR analysis, computational tools, and structure-based design to advance molecules.
Qualifications:
- BS/MS Chemistry, PhD preferred, with 10+ years of medicinal chemistry team leadership experience.
- Expert command of synthetic and medicinal chemistry, with knowledge of pharmacology, ADME, and IP.
- Proven ability to lead remote teams and manage outsourced chemistry effectively.
