Senior Software Engineer - Virtual Machines

Role Overview:

• You'll own complex product capabilities and shape technical decisions for UDS VM, a new product enabling virtual machines in secure, disconnected environments.
• This role sits at the intersection of Kubernetes, virtualization, and security, building software—not just operating infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, test, and deliver complex software features and systems across the VM lifecycle.
• Drive pragmatic technical decisions and resolve ambiguity with Product, UX, and Mission Heroes.
• Debug issues across Kubernetes, virtualization, storage, networking, and operating systems, and mentor teammates.

Preferred Experience:

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong proficiency in Go or another modern language.
• Experience with Kubernetes, distributed systems, APIs, and production backend services.
• Familiarity with Linux, containers, and virtualization technologies like KubeVirt or QEMU/KVM is a plus.
