Responsibilities:
- Architect and design Android solutions for 24/7 restaurant hardware operation with offline capabilities and zero data loss.
- Drive end-to-end performance work on cold start, memory, battery, and database throughput, setting reliability and resilience strategies.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of software engineering with expert-level Kotlin and deep experience in building performant, resilient apps, ideally for hardware or financial transactions.
- Strong command of SQLite and a track record of diagnosing production issues like ANRs and memory leaks, plus daily hands-on use of AI coding tools.
Additional Preferred Experience:
- Experience in fintech, payments, or regulated environments like PCI, and knowledge of offline-first architecture and mobile security.
- Experience evolving legacy Android codebases and building internal developer tooling or AI agent workflows to improve team velocity.
