Lead mobile engineering initiatives for high-quality iOS and Android applications in a dynamic, fast-growing environment. Drive hands-on development and strategic innovation, including pioneering the integration of generative AI technologies. Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver features that delight users, enhance engagement, and scale effectively.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and integrations using Java or Kotlin.
• Ensure efficient data flow between applications and databases.
• Analyze, debug, and optimize existing backend logic for performance and scalability.

• Partner with the Senior Product Manager to translate AI product strategy into a clear technical roadmap.
• Design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs that power AI-enabled features for customers and internal users.
• Mentor and level up engineers in AI/ML best practices, distributed systems design, and platform thinking.

• Design, build, and maintain cutting-edge messaging protocols and mobile SDKs.
• Contribute to open-source projects and advance privacy-preserving technologies.
• Impact the scalability, reliability, and security of communication systems.

• Own Alt’s flagship mobile application and its user-facing product.
• Lead the React Native platform across build systems, deployments, CI/CD, performance, reliability, and developer experience.
• Contribute to backend systems as needed and partner closely with product, design, and business to influence what we build.

Design and prototype machine learning solutions to improve the software development workflow. Apply existing open-source models or train custom ones as needed. Build training and evaluation pipelines that support fast iteration and ensure reproducibility.

• Defining and maintaining high standards for architecture, performance, and code quality within the Android team.
• Driving mobile development excellence with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and integration with cloud-based infrastructure.
• Ensuring scalable, testable, and maintainable Android solutions by applying clean architecture principles.

• Lead a team of mobile and frontend engineers to deliver hybrid development capabilities.
• Own and evolve the cross-platform architecture.
