Archaeology Technician

AECOM is seeking an Archaeology Technician for immediate employment in our Oakland, CA office. This is a remote, on-call position, meaning workdays and times will be determined on an as-needed basis. The Archaeological Technician primarily performs fieldwork under the supervision of a Crew Chief, Field Director and/or Principal Investigator. Ideally, candidates should be northern California based as field projects will primarily be in the Bay Area and greater San Francisco region. Candidates will need flexibility to travel overnight for field work sessions. Responsibilities include performing a variety of tasks in support of project staff, gathering and maintaining records of scientific data, assisting with calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and installations and maintaining proper project documentation. Collects and enters data and applies technical principles and theories under supervision.
