Staff Software Engineer - Measure & Optimize

The Engineering team is responsible for the development and maintenance of the technical solutions offered by Blip. Acting in the Conversational Marketing pipeline, the team helps brands use conversational channels to increase the efficiency of their campaigns. Within this context, the Measure and Optimize team's mission is to measure the performance of actions, demonstrate results, and identify optimization opportunities, promoting efficiency gains. Staff Software Engineers at Blip work in our product in various ways, collaborating with teams dedicated to different product areas, alongside Product Managers, Designers, Data Engineers, AI, and Frontend to achieve common objectives. The Staff Software Engineer is the leading technical reference at Blip, focused on shaping architecture and technical direction at scale. Your main responsibility is to guide architectural decisions and discussions across multiple teams, solving problems of the highest scope and complexity, and ensuring the development of major functionalities and complex initiatives aligns with the company strategy. This role demands a strong dedication to engineering excellence and quality standards including leading the definition and application of internal code standards, maintainability, and testing, actively participating in code and architecture reviews. The Staff Engineer is also responsible for advocating performance and security improvements at a cross-team level, as well as identifying and resolving technical debts that impact the product. You will provide technical mentorship among teams, focusing on the development and growth of Senior engineers, and acting as an internal consultant for the organization. Your role extends to supporting hiring and participating in production on-call to ensure critical system health, driving innovation and alignment across Engineering.
