Intermediate Software Engineer, Security Factory: Vulnerability Management

About the Role:

• As an Intermediate Software Engineer on GitLab's Vulnerability Management team, you'll help build core security workflows for triaging and managing vulnerabilities.
• You'll work primarily in Ruby on Rails on backend systems, including security dashboards and ingestion pipelines.
• You will join a fullstack team, collaborating with product managers, designers, and frontend engineers.

What You'll Do:

• Develop and maintain backend features for vulnerability management workflows.
• Improve performance, reliability, and scalability of security data ingestion and reporting systems.
• Participate in on-call rotations to assist with troubleshooting product operations and security issues.

What You'll Bring:

• Experience building backend applications with Ruby on Rails and working with PostgreSQL.
• Ability to investigate technical problems and work toward practical resolutions.
• Clear communication and collaboration skills in a distributed team.
