Senior Product Engineer, Discourse Graphs

About the role:

• We're looking for a senior product engineer to join the Discourse Graphs team in a fully remote, fixed-term role of 12 to 14 months.
• The project is open-source, philanthropically funded, and built by a small team across North America, Europe, and India.

What you'll do:

• Build tools for researchers to write down, link, and share questions, claims, and evidence.
• Work on features like manuscript overlays, research knowledge bases, and integration with coding agents.
• Collaborate with a designer and product manager, turning promising ideas into prototypes and maintainable software.

About you:

• You have a record of shipping user-facing products from prototype to production.
• You're fluent in TypeScript and modern front-end stacks, comfortable across the interface, data layer, and APIs.
• You use AI coding tools daily and take responsibility for what lands in the repo.

Our offer:

• Full-time for 12 to 14 months, with salary of $120,000 to $215,000 depending on experience and location.
• Fully remote with some North American hours overlap, or in person in Emeryville, CA.
