Senior Full Stack Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with a strong backend focus to join the Scooby-Doo squad at TrustedHousesitters. In this role, you will primarily help evolve and scale our Python/Django backend services, APIs and data models, while also contributing to front-end work using React when needed. Our team builds the core surfaces and systems that power a global community of pet owners and sitters. You’ll work across a modern, service-oriented architecture, collaborating with Product, Design, and other engineering squads to deliver reliable, secure, and high-impact features. You'll be designing, building, and maintaining backend services in Python/Django and Django REST Framework; evolving the API layer and backend domain models to support new product features; improving scalability, performance, caching, and reliability across core systems; and ensuring secure coding practices, proper authentication/authorisation flows, and data integrity. You'll also contribute to React front-end surfaces and supporting full-stack features where needed.
