Vultr is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Platform Engineer to join the Platform Services team, reporting to the Platform Engineering Manager. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver passionate about developer experience, automation, and scalable infrastructure. This is a highly visible role supporting internal engineering productivity through CI/CD optimization, infrastructure automation, and development environment enablement. What to expect: CI/CD Ownership: Design, implement, and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines that power all internal software delivery. Infrastructure Automation: Automate infrastructure deployments using Terraform and Puppet or Kubernetes to deliver consistent, repeatable environments. Developer Experience: Enhance internal development environments and tooling to streamline onboarding and local testing workflows. Systems Integration: Collaborate with various Engineering teams to ensure observability, reliability, and automation are built into every delivery pipeline. Configuration Management: Contribute to Puppet manifests, Helm charts and Terraform modules for core platform systems. Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with developers, QA Engineering, and engineering teams to enable reliable, efficient deployments. Documentation: Author clear, maintainable documentation for CI/CD workflows, automation scripts, and infrastructure processes.
