Job Description
Mux is seeking an exceptional Director of Data & Business Systems to architect the future of data. This is a unique player-coach role for someone who loves being hands-on with data engineering and analytics while also setting strategic direction and building a high-performing team. You'll lead the charge to modernize our data architecture, establish robust governance frameworks, and leverage emerging AI capabilities to democratize data access across the company. This role reports directly to the CFO and partners closely with Product, Engineering, FinOps, and GTM leadership to ensure data is a strategic asset that drives business outcomes.
You'll develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy, design and implement scalable data pipelines, and establish data governance frameworks. You'll also oversee business systems, streamline cross-functional processes, and evaluate emerging technologies. You'll lead a team of data professionals, foster a culture of excellence, and partner with stakeholders to identify data needs and drive consensus on data investments.
