About Us:
- Soum is building a marketplace to buy and sell anything online, starting in the MENA region.
- We began with second-hand electronics, became market leaders in KSA, and are expanding to used cars and collectibles.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Node.js, TypeScript, and Nest.js.
- Build and manage scalable microservices, develop APIs with gRPC, and work with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and ClickHouse.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure code quality, and optimize system performance.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- 4–5+ years of backend development experience with proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of microservices, CI/CD, and cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL in production environments.
Nice to Have:
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Golang.
- Experience in scaling and optimizing high-traffic backend systems.
