Overview:

  • Primary responsibility is to provide technical input on testing projects with national laboratories, universities, and commercial testing companies.
  • Work with a principal/senior engineer to provide technical oversight of contracted institutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, evaluate, and interpret testing related to cladding hydride effects, mechanical properties, fabrication effects, corrosion behavior, and performance.
  • Apply empirical modeling approaches and multi-physics finite element methods to represent cladding behavior.
  • Prepare and present technical findings to internal teams, partners, regulators, and the research community.

Qualifications:

  • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in engineering or science with relevant non-educational experience.
  • Proficiency with nuclear engineering and material science concepts.
  • Demonstrable experience with writing and presentation of engineering work and research findings.
