Role Overview:
- Lead nuclear criticality safety evaluations for HALEU fuel manufacturing, handling, storage, and transportation.
- Ensure compliance with NRC/DOE regulations and ANSI/ANS-8 standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, and approve NCSEs, establishing safety limits and controls.
- Perform method qualification and validation, including bias/uncertainty analysis.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance during process changes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering with 8+ years of experience in criticality safety.
- Proficiency with MCNP, SCALE/KENO, and advanced neutronics analysis.
- Familiarity with HALEU-specific considerations and fuel fabrication preferred.
