Remote interviews can help save time, identify deal breakers early on, test for awesome communication skills and get to know candidates better. Be organized, clear, and prepare a quiet space. Always tell your candidate if you plan to record the interview and get written consent via email. Candidates to avoid include no-shows, unprepared candidates, informal candidates, and those who are uncomfortable with video interviews. If they can’t hold a conversation via video, they’re probably not up to remote work.
