Staff Engineering Operations Specialist

As a Staff Engineering Operations Specialist, you will play a key role in the operations and improvement of engineering practices across ecobee’s progressive CDM Engineering team by helping us grow our engineering maturity and culture. You will partner with engineering leadership to define, measure, and improve work systems, advocating for quality, facilitating the use of metrics, administering Jira and Confluence, coaching leaders, and managing the internal escalation process. This role gives you a significant part in effort to simplify customers’ lives and create a more sustainable world. The ideal candidate will bring excellent communication and collaboration skills, experience with delivery work system design, the ability to guide the use of engineering metrics, comfort with the full SDLC, and a track record of improving tooling. A love of software development, automated testing, continuous integration and deployment, and design patterns is a plus.
