Lab Genetic Counselor

Natera’s Organ Health laboratory genetic counselors serve as clinical liaisons to patients and providers regarding Natera’s test offerings. Provide pre- and/or post- test telephone genetic information sessions to patients who are considering or have had testing through Natera. Develop and maintain expertise in renal genetics knowledge relating to Natera’s Organ Health products. Obtain and maintain GC licensure in all states offering licensure. Answer health care provider inquiries regarding Natera’s Organ Health products. Review, finalize, and call out test results for Natera’s Organ Health products. Support Natera’s sales team by answering field questions. Assist in development of patient consents, GC protocols, SOPs, and patient education materials. Write or collaborate on abstracts or papers involving Natera tests. Represent company at trade shows and medical conferences; Deliver presentations at scientific meetings and company promotional events (<10% travel). This role works with PHI on a regular basis both in paper and electronic form and has access to various technologies to access PHI (paper and electronic) in order to perform the job. Employee must complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance training and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 days of hire. Perform other duties as assigned.
