Responsibilities:
- Lead species range map production for marine and anadromous taxa per FWS Range Mapping SOP.
- Conduct spatial data aggregation, CRS transformations, and validation against authoritative layers.
- Facilitate review cycles with FWS and NOAA Fisheries SMEs and produce QA documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 8 years experience, or equivalent; U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
- Extensive GIS experience with species range mapping or federal environmental applications.
- Proficiency in Python, ArcGIS/QGIS, and SQL for spatial data processing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with NOAA Fisheries marine data, Databricks, or federal deliverable approvals.
- GISP certification or equivalent.
