Job Description
In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping and improving vertical transportation systems through thoughtful design coordination and integration into complex building environments. As a BIM / Revit Designer in the Vertical Transportation group, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Project Managers and Technical Center Manager, contributing your expertise to multiple projects simultaneously. Produce drawings, layouts as needed and offer technical solutions to the Vertical Transportation Design Team. Generate various BIM deliverables to clients, including modeling and detailing for project documents for the project teams. Assist project managers with model presentation for project teams and client meetings. Complete Revit Project Setup. Download, review, and understand design drawings and models to accurately design and coordinate vertical transportation designs. Communicate design changes and issues with the Project Manager and the Design Team. Responsible for assigned projects with the ability to meet deadlines, budgets, and prioritize assignments while maintaining quality standards and accuracy. Collaborate on multi-discipline, multi-company projects. Provide layouts of vertical transportation including passenger and freight elevators - hydraulic and traction types, escalators, moving walks with supervision from the Technical Center Manager and Project Managers. Ability to take direction and participate in quality reviews of work product. Determine and document vertical transportation technical data such as dimensions, structural loading, electrical requirements, and equipment heat output. Research elevator, building, and applicable codes. Generate and improve on growing library of Revit families.
