About the Role:

  • This senior power systems professional will lead Solar Landscape's grid strategy, evaluating utility planning frameworks to accelerate distributed solar and battery storage deployment.
  • The role reports to the Director of Interconnection and involves direct collaboration with utilities and internal teams to advance DER integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage utility planning teams to identify opportunities for increasing hosting capacity on constrained circuits.
  • Develop data-driven proposals aligning distributed energy deployment with utility reliability goals.
  • Monitor infrastructure plans, load forecasts, and system constraints to provide strategic guidance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems required; Professional Engineer license preferred.
  • 10–20+ years of experience in electric utility planning, grid modernization, or DER integration.
  • Deep understanding of utility planning methodologies and familiarity with major U.S. power markets like PJM and NYISO.
