Technical Responsibilities:

  • Successfully deliver generator interconnection or transmission planning projects across multiple ISOs/RTOs and/or Utilities.
  • Provide technical insights in complex initiatives and serve as subject matter expert in load flow, transient stability, and short circuit studies.
  • Identify optimal grid interconnection strategies and collaborate with teams on market trends and process changes.

Leadership Duties:

  • Build on EPE's existing capabilities and develop expansion strategies for the Transmission Planning Utilities team.
  • Build confidence with senior management, assist in sales and business development, and ensure effective project staffing and resource utilization.
  • Mentor junior team members, prepare RFP responses, and participate in industry conferences.

Qualifications and Support:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; Master’s or PhD preferred, with 8-10 years of experience in the electric energy industry.
  • Solid background in power flow, optimal power flow, transient stability, and proficiency in software like PSSE, TARA, PSLF, ASPEN, DSATools, or PSCAD.
