Purpose of the Role:
- Investigate field failures on SMA's medium voltage solutions to drive evidence-based root cause analysis.
- Protect customers and brand quality by working hands-on with transformers, switchgear, and converters.
What You'll Do:
- Lead field failure investigations, including site inspection, electrical testing, teardown, and evidence collection.
- Apply the 8D method to determine failure mechanisms and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with international teams and global headquarters to ensure sustainable solutions.
What We're Looking For:
- 7+ years in technical failure analysis and quality engineering with hands-on medium voltage equipment experience.
- Expertise in 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, and Pareto analysis.
- Willingness to travel 20-30% to customer sites and availability for occasional early morning meetings with Germany.
