Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute high-voltage substation projects (34.5kV-500kV) with emphasis on safety, cost, quality, and reliability.
  • Generate detailed engineering deliverables including general arrangement, elevation, grounding, and conduit drawings using CAD tools.
  • Oversee project production efforts, inspect installations, and ensure conformance to design specifications and standards.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant substation or general electrical T&D designing experience with expertise in AutoCAD or MicroStation.
  • Thorough knowledge of codes such as NESC, NEC, IEEE, and ANSI, and substation equipment and spacing requirements.
  • Ability to develop complete construction documents and interpret engineering calculations to apply to design.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range of $77,000 to $100,000 dependent on experience and location.
